MACHINING
The most important and well-known mechanical processing
processes are turning, milling, grinding and drilling.
According to DIN 8580 they belong to the machining process, also called cutting.
Chipping is the separation of material particles (chips) on mechanically. This occurs by changing the position, i.e. Movement of the workpiece and corresponding cutting forces
of the tool.
The machining processes are based on the geometry of the cutting edges,
geometrically determined and geometrically indeterminate, and according to the direction of the cutting movement. The cutting movement is determined by the tool or
workpiece. It can be linear or circular.
