Since its founding in 1955 CABA-BLIND has stood for high-precision drive components, technological innovation, and collaborative partnerships since its founding. Building on a strong tradition, we are shaping the path to the future – committed, customer-focused, and with a clear eye for quality and efficiency.
We are rethinking drive technology: As a specialized service provider, we are fully committed to not only meeting our customers’ requirements but also anticipating their future needs. Our history –
milestones of a strong company

1955: Carl-Albert Blind starts with the production of gears and gear units.

1976: Expansion of the company through the construction of a second production hall.

1982: Handover to Hansjörg Hahn and Wilfried Stiefel.

1985: Expansion of the existing production facilities.

1990: Construction of the third production hall.

2005: Takeover by Karlheinz Doll, from 2009 together with Frank Fahrländer.

2019: A decisive step into the future – CABA-BLIND becomes part of the SEW Group, one of the world’s leading technology companies for drive solutions. The acquisition of the company shares marks the beginning of a new growth phase with international strength.

2021: Start of construction for the new, modern plant in Kehl.

2023: Relocation to the new facility with state-of-the-art production and administrative areas.

2023: Appointment of Mr. Schütz and Mr. Sztuba as managing directors.
